Around 80,000 American students study abroad each year. Studying in another country gives you educational and life experiences you cannot get at home. These programs are sponsored by various institutions including colleges, universities, and private or non-profit organizations.
While studying abroad, you can earn credit for your coursework; you can even pursue an undergraduate degree at a foreign university. After you begin high school, talk with your high school counselor if you want to learn more about this option.
